Wouter Poels starts the season with victory in the prologue of the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana. He beat Luis León Sánchez and his team mate and time trial World Champion, Vasil Kiriyenka. He is now in front of L.L Sánchez by 14 seconds and Kiriyenka by 20 seconds.
