Dubai Tour

The Dubai Tour starts in 2 days along with the Herald Sun Tour, with Froome starting, and the newly created Tour a la Comunitat Valenciana.
The Dubai tour is a flat tour held in the United Arab Emirates. Last year John Degenkolb won a stage while Cavendish won 2 stages and the GC. Viviani won a stage. The race will finish on Saturday (3-6 February).

ASO pulls its competitions out of the world tour classification.

ASO, the company that owns the Tour de France want to pull all their competitions out of the World Tour classification and put them into the category below: .HC. They will do this in 2017. They will do this because they want to make the Tour have less people in it, they will be able to limit the teams and not let all the world tour teams in to the French competition.
