Kennaugh and Froome finish first and 2nd respectively in the big mountain stage in Australia.
Froome attacked first and then, behind, Ke nnaugh did the same. Froome let Kennaugh win in the sprint as they are in the same team.
Kennaugh will be wearing the orange jersey, Froome is 2nd 7 seconds behind and 23 seconds behind is the Aussie Dion Smith.
This is the route of the Tour de France 2018 which has been announced today. Thsi route favours neither Froome nor Bardet. It has a long team time trial and indivisual time trial. This route could favour Dumpoulin who in many peoples' opinion is favourite for next years' tour over reigning chamion Froome. Dumoulin has the same tactic as Froome but specialises more in time trials, the area of Froome's dominance. There are 3 big mountain stages and the organisers have decided to repeat the famous Bagneres de Luchon stage.
