Tour of Qatar Stage 1

Cavendish wins the first stage of the Tour of Qatar in front of Kristoff and Modolo. Mörkov launched Kristoff with 200 metres to go but Kristoff was only strong enough to finish 5th ou of the 12 man group. Cavendish is starting a good Tour of Qatar after a rubbish Dubai Tour. Wouter Poels beats Aru and Izagirre to win the queen stage of the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana. Astana isolated Poels on the final climb, where he got away from Aru, Navarro and Rosa. Kittel beats Cavendish and Viviani in the fourth stage of the Dubai Tour. As well as the stage he also got the GC victory. Kittel gave Cavendish and Vivivani no option in this stage. Hosking wins the final stage in a bunch sprint while Worrack wins the General Clasiification. T.Worrack finished in front of Kasper and Van Dijk. Kristen Wild won the points jersey, Canyon-Sram Racing won the team classification and Koster won the youth jersey.

Women's Tour of Qatar Stage 3

Elen Van Dijk wins the stage as T.Worrack gets the gold jersey. From a few kilometres in Elen Van Dijk won the stage, she was the first of four from the breakway. She attacke Kristen Wild, winner of the first stage, Handson and Koster finished second third and fourth respectively.  Worrack came in a second afterwards while the Gold Jersey wearer before the stage, Garfoot, finished the stage in the peloton, a minute behind.

Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana Stage 2

Dan Martin gets his victory of the season and his victory with his team, Etixx-Quickstep. José Herrada attacked with seven kilometres to go. Team Sky, with Nieve, Kiriyenka, Poels (the leader), López, König and Intxausti, caught him down with less than a kilometre to go. Dan Martin immediately counterattacked and got away, José Herrada and Poels finished 2 seconds behind him and Poels will start the day tomorrow in blue. Women's Tour of Qatar stage 2

Garfoot, the Australian from Orica-Ais, won the second stage of the Women's Tour of Qatar. She made a magnificent solo effort to finish 13 seconds in front of the next group, which contained 3 top riders: Worrack, Peters and Kasper. The peloton came in a minute later. Now Garfoot is leader of the race.

Dubai Tour Stage 2

Viviani wins the second stage in Dubai and goes first in the GC. Team Sky protected Viviani from the crashes where Kittel and Cavendish got held up. Cavendish got back to the main group but was too tired to finish above tenth place. Swift launched Viviani to win the stage. Herald Sun Tour Stage 1

Kennaugh and Froome finish first and 2nd respectively in the big mountain stage in Australia. Froome attacked first and then, behind, Ke nnaugh did the same. Froome let Kennaugh win in the sprint as they are in the same team. Kennaugh will be wearing the orange jersey, Froome is 2nd 7 seconds behind and 23 seconds behind is the Aussie Dion Smith.

The Dubai Tour starts in 2 days along with the Herald Sun Tour, with Froome starting, and the newly created Tour a la Comunitat Valenciana.  The Dubai tour is a flat tour held in the United Arab Emirates. Last year John Degenkolb won a stage while Cavendish won 2 stages and the GC. Viviani won a stage. The race will finish on Saturday (3-6 February).
